A present for fans inspired by the past that makes a better future 🤯
Making our own brand love moment
During my time on Windows, we established a great holiday tradition that turned the things fans love and remember most about Windows into nostalgic, ugly apparel. Since Windows is a software company, not a soft-wear company, we found a worthy, relevant cause each year to give all the proceeds. That’s good fun.
This year, we played with Windows famous free game Minesweeper. The iconic game was included with the operating system to teach new PC users how to right click, thus making PCs more accessible to the population. These days, right clicking isn’t a problem, but making accessible experiences for everyone is still Microsoft’s mission. That’s why we partnered with AbleGamers, who combine gaming, accessibility, and mental health into one amazing cause.
The media always loves this campaign. I think they just want to make sure they’re on the good list when we send out sweaters each year.
