About Me
I’m a Creative Director with an emphasis in writing. Don’t let my degree in design fool you, I leave that to the professionals, but it helps me immensely when giving feedback and helping those team members grow.
I don’t mean to talk all about work, but let’s get down to business and I’ll get personal if you stick around. For the last 3 years I have led a team for Microsoft social media spanning Windows, Edge, Microsoft 365, Surface, and Bing. In that time we have helped each brand find its own voice and creative spirit across organic and paid social media, as well as product launch and events.
Prior to that I helped win new business for the VMLY&R Seattle office, growing their presence from largely B2B work to a healthy mix of consumer work which attracted more talent and contributed to office expansion and talent retention.
Rewind the tape a bit further and you’d find me working away on Wendy’s. For four years I cranked out funny (you be the judge), insightful, connected campaigns for just about everything on that menu, except they never gave me a crack at the ol’ baked potato. Forever my white whale.
I really believe the smartest and most relatable work comes from human insights, observing behavior, and seeing where your brand fits into that truth. That’s why I’ve always believed strategy as the backbone of great creative.
OK, you’ve earned a couple personal nuggets. My wife and I have lived in Seattle with our dog, Chester, for 6 years. You can find us most weekends riding the light rail to different parts of town to try new places, or out on Lake Washington in a pink kayak when the weather isn’t seasonally affecting us in a disorderly fashion.
